As our busy summer of weddings comes to an end, our Head Groundsman Malcolm talks us through everything that our beautiful grounds have to offer this Autumn…
Summer may be the traditional wedding season, but Autumn is when the grounds really come into their own.
My small team work so hard not only to make sure the grounds are looking perfect for your day, but are always thinking of ways to make sure the grounds have something to offer nomatter what time of year you choose.
These white roses and Japanese anenome are perfect examples! Providing blossom in late September through to October they offer a floral touch to our planting in and around the barn courtyard in early Autumn.
No tour of the grounds at this time of year would be complete without showing you our amazing trees. The Dell, to the side of the manor house is home to some fantastic trees which are painted with red and gold tones throughout this season.
The red oak is particularly spectacular as it changes from green to red, and provides a blanket of leaves across the ground.
The Liquid Amber is one of my favourite trees across our grounds; as one of the oldest in the country it really is something special.
If that’s not enough to convince you that Autumn is a wonderful time of year for a wedding, why not come and see the grounds for yourself? Our grounds will be available for you to see in all their glory at our next wedding fayre on 20th October. For more information visit: https://www.uftoncourt.co.uk/weddingfayre
