Are you having some quirky wedding treats to surprise your guests? Have a look at some of our favourites from past Ufton weddings:
Costume change – brides, listen up. Want to continue dancing long into the night, but are worried that your wedding dress might get in the way?! Why not have a costume change as you head into the evening celebrations – this might even include changing out of those gorgeous (but high!) Jimmy Choos into some flipflops or sandals… who can see them anyway!
Evening food – whether you’re a sucker for tradition or want a unique meal which your guests will be talking about for months afterwards, at Ufton, we’ve seen lots of our lovely recommended caterers change up the evening meals. Our personal favourites include homemade pizza, paella dishes, and burgers from the BBQ
Inventive desserts – don’t feel like you have to stick to the traditional fruit, three-tiered wedding cake. A cake table full of different cakes will definitely go down a treat with your guests. Or have you thought about a donut wall or an ice cream truck to do the rounds?
Favours – long gone are the sugared almond favours… now we see lots of fantastic ideas which are unique to the couple. Festive favours are a particular favourite of the wedding team here at Ufton – baubles, gingerbread men and festive fudge are perfect for winter weddings for example.
The Guest Book – a quirky guest book is a great way to add your personal touch to your wedding. Are you a lover of music? Or is there something you can sign which will be used, rather than stored on a bookshelf? These ideas from past Ufton couples are fantastic and definitely got their guests talking!
Unusual entertainment – looking to invite children to your wedding? A magician is always a popular way to keep your guests entertained. Remember that you can include the season/time of year into your overall wedding, for example creating a mini Easter egg hunt for a spring wedding
Themed wedding day – do you a want a story to be told from the moment you send out your invites to your guests, and all the way through to the last dance in the evening? A wedding theme might be great for you. There are so many ways to dress the venue…
