Last summer we saw lots of beautiful sunflowers adorning the barn at Ufton Weddings. Sunflowers are a gorgeous choice of bloom for a summer wedding as they are vibrant and joyful and definitely a flower to put a smile on your face.
Have a look at some creative ways to incorporate these beautiful blooms into your wedding day.
Sunflower bouquets – summer celebrations would lend themselves perfectly to having a sunflower bridal bouquet as we often associate sunflowers with bright sunshine and blue skies – they also radiate happiness and positivity, a definite must for a wedding day!
Buttonholes – in order to tie in those gorgeous bouquets to the groom’s party and best men, having a beautiful arrangement of a large sunflower and some smaller yellow or white flowers, would make a gorgeous corsage for the groom and his party.
Table centrepieces – although sunflowers are most commonly used for weddings in the summer, why not bring some sunshine into your autumn or winter wedding, by including them on each table! Adding a pop of colour would definitely brighten up your November wedding!
Cake topper – and to tie in with the whole theme, a cake adorned in edible sunflowers would really be the ticket!
Flower crowns – if you love sunflowers so much that you want them in your bouquet and in your hair, a boho flower crown would look absolutely stunning!
