As we enter November, the number of weddings here at Ufton Court decreases. I have enjoyed watching the change of the seasons and working in the cool crisp air – especially when it’s a beautiful sunny autumn day. But this doesn’t mean I’m any less busy. I have lots of jobs to be getting on with around the grounds:
One of my favourite jobs is repairing and restoring the walls ready for the winter frost. We have many walls which need restoring and keeping pristine, and as the number of weddings has decreased, this gives me a great opportunity to crack on (pardon the pun!)
Another November job which keeps me really busy, is clearing up fallen leaves, which when there are as many magnificent trees down the drive, and surrounding the gorgeous Manor House, makes it a never ending job! Keeping the grounds nice and tidy, mean that the numerous wedding spots are still available for you to use, throughout the winter months. Have a look at some of last year’s gorgeous November wedding photos.
And finally, a further job I’m getting on with as we’ve entered the month of November is cutting back, pruning and tree management – making sure that the trees are safe for the winter period, for both the children on site, and our wedding guests.
I’m looking forward to watching the grounds change as winter draws nearer.
As always, happy reading and happy gardening.
