Planning a wedding could be a stressful period of time, what with organising the dresses, the ushers, the VENUE?! BUT remember that this process should be fun and exciting and should allow you to make the day as unique as you wish. We have rounded up some top tips to help you be the savvy bride or groom…
Top tip number 1: Stay organised – in lots of speeches we hear how brides and grooms are made fun of for keeping spreadsheets of the costings, the final pieces etc. but this has been proven to be a less stressful way of keeping on top of the wedding planning. Being organised is one of the most important elements in becoming the ‘savvy bride or groom’, so if you love spreadsheets, then you will be in your element!
Top tip number 2: Use Pinterest! – Pinterest will definitely become your best friend in the lead up to your big day! It allows you to ‘pin’ ideas uploaded by many different people across the world to help you visualise and create your perfect day. It also means it can be kept all in one place, so when looking at flowers for the day for example, you could take your phone or tablet to the florist for a visual cue on the sorts of ideas you were visioning! We have lots of different pinterest pages for you to check out too.
Top tip number 3: Utilise social media pages – in addition to using pinterest, we would definitely recommend checking out the venue or your suppliers on their social media pages. Here at Ufton Weddings, with the agreement of the couple, we try to post lots of unique and exciting ways that each couple decorate the barn, or ideas to make the day their own. It might sound cheeky, but will give you lots of wedding inspo from past weddings! Sharing is caring, after all!
Top tip number 4: The personal touches – having a couple of unique touches during your wedding really is what makes the day so special. Did you and your partner meet during a ski trip for example? Could this then be incorporated into your big day? Or are you both lovers of gin? How could you include this love of the nation’s favourite spirit into your wedding day too?
