Paws for thought with Murphy
Welcome back pals!
There’s only been one thing on everyone’s minds over the weekend, and that’s the snow! Last week, the grounds were covered firstly with a sprinkling of snow on Wednesday causing a lot of excitement here at Ufton, and then heavier snow which settled at the end of the week and over the weekend. It was so exciting to be running around with the snow falling on us… it was like a magical winter wonderland. You wouldn’t believe that it was the first day of Spring last Thursday!!
Despite the snow, this hasn’t stopped my pals at Ufton taking part in some great outdoor activities around the ground. On Wednesday we raided as Vikings across the snowy grounds – it’s a good job I had my fur coat on, otherwise it would’ve been a very cold day! We learnt about how to deal with the Saxon settlers and what drove the Vikings to take over England. It was very exciting and authentic with the cold weather.
We woke up on Thursday to a fantastic covering of snow. My pals had lots of fun making snowmen (I even made a snow-dog!) and playing in the snow… which reminds me of a joke:
How does a Snowman get to work?
It was also World Book Day on Thursday, so in between making snow-dogs and snowmen, I had my head stuck in a book, curled up by the fire to keep warm!
I hope that you all had a fantastic weekend in the snow – back to reality now though pals.
