Corporate Volunteering at Ufton Court
Ufton Court provides exceptional opportunities for companies to volunteer and support a charity. We provide team leaders, risk assessments plus catering if required. The days are great fun, motivating and provide excellent team building opportunities.
We need help with conservation projects such as painting and decorating as well as clearing and maintaining our outdoor areas. Three successful partnerships are described below and the Homebase video gives another example of what can be achieved. Each partnership is carefully planned to ensure maximum benefit to the charity alongside the best possible engagement with volunteering employees.
Microsoft interns were challenged to fundraise so that we could buy and house two pigs. After a year they had been so successful that they had raised enough to build us a small farm! Over two fantastic days they came to Ufton together with their managers and helped to build the farm. The days ended with the triumphant arrival of the pigs. This partnership left a lasting legacy at Ufton that will benefit children for many years to come. Microsoft benefitted in that their interns melded into a strong team and developed effective relationships with the wider team much more quickly.
Visa: Tree Planting
Visa employees have volunteered twice at Ufton Court. The first time they planted, staked and protected 100 trees around our new woodland cabins. The second year they painted the interior of the communal cabin and cleared a new path so children could access a wider area of woodland. Longer term partnerships such as this enable staff to feel more involved and know more about the charity as well as making planning and organising the volunteering days easier.
We are very grateful to the following for their support…
