Paws for thought with Murphy
Welcome back pals.
I’ve had a busy few weeks at Ufton, during the summer holidays this year.
We’ve already welcomed over 20 wedding couples to share with their family and friends their wedding day. I must admit, that I have been lured to the barn, due to the wafting of a beautiful smelling wedding breakfast on more than one occasion!
We’ve also had lots of lovely volunteers in, on the days with no weddings, volunteering their time to help with lots of projects around the grounds.
They have been giving the cabins a new lick of paint
Helping to build a new shed for the goats to sleep in, and a chicken run for our new hens down on the farm
They have been coppicing in the woods to help build a new Viking ship
And have donated their time to paint some of the rooms in the Manor House
It’s definitely been busy on site during the summer holidays this year, and we’ve had some beautiful sunny and hot weather to go with it. I’ve even been subjected to the hot dog jokes a few times! Which reminds me:
What do you call a dog who’s been sat in the cooling shade for too long?
I cant wait to see you all again in a couple of weeks for lots of Residential trips and Day visits!
Speak to you soon
