Paws for thought with Murphy
Welcome back pals,
Today I joined in with some activities in the woods, and it was absolutely pawsome! Have you seen how beautiful the grounds are looking at this time of year, with the vibrant red and orange leaves forming a blanket on the ground?
I started off by walking through the Theale circle, and saying hi to some pals who were on a Stoneage visit. They looked like they were having lots of fun, being hunters and gatherers and finding different natural objects in the woodland.
I then walked past the low ropes and down to the new elements where I managed to join my pals for a fun and exciting activity. They were tasked to use one crate to get two individuals from one side of the course to the other … my pals were great, using the tenacity skill to keep trying and never give up.
After the activity, we headed back up to the cabins, past the outdoor kitchen, where some of my pals on our Ufton Adventure programme were taking part in the activity ‘Dangling Donuts’. This involves safely lighting a fire to burn a piece of string holding some donuts up in the trees. It was pawsome to watch, but I would have loved to have been able to join in as the donuts looked absolutely delicious!
Back up at the cabins, it was time to warm up with a nice drink of squash for my pals and some water for me.
I’ll speak to you all very soon.
