Vote for Ufton in Tesco’s Bags of Help Scheme

  28 Feb 2019

We are delighted to be a nominated charity in Tesco’s Bags of Help initiative.

The scheme grants £4,000, £2,000 and £1,000, raised from carrier bag sales, to local community projects.

Three groups in every Tesco region have been shortlisted to receive one of the cash awards. Ufton Adventure has been selected for the Newbury and Thatcham stores. Shoppers are being invited to head along to Tesco stores to vote for who they think should take away the top grant.

The money will be used to buy fitness wristbands for the young people at Ufton Adventure. By using fitness wristbands in our programmes, children will be able to monitor their sleep, diet and exercise, and see for themselves how their health and emotional wellbeing improve.

In order to receive enough money, we need your votes! Voting starts from 1st March until 30th April. Simply visit the Tesco Superstore and Metro in Newbury or Tesco Express in Thatcham where you will receive a voting token at the checkout.
