Dear Ufton Customers and Friends, 24th March 2020
I hope that you, your family and friends are safe and well at this difficult time. I know that many of you are feeling worried, anxious or uncertain as events unfold all around us at a pace that’s almost too fast and too large to understand.
As we are an educational setting, Ufton closed our doors to children last Friday. We have now also taken the very difficult decision to suspend all weddings until June. We will continue to watch developments and follow government health advice.
For all our Wedding and Education customers who are affected by this period of closure the only certainty that we can offer you is that we will offer you an alternative date or refund your deposit. We will return all deposits as quickly as we can, however please understand that our staff are also impacted and this may take us a few weeks to process.
We do hope that you will choose to stay with us and continue to enjoy all that Ufton offers.
We don’t know how long it will take for the world to get back to normal, but we do know that the impact on children will be long lasting. Ufton will be at the forefront of the period of renewal and action to improve the lives of all the children we work with.
At Ufton Adventure, we will continue to strive to make the world a fairer and more equal place.
I look forward to the period of recovery which I am sure is ahead of us, when our customers, friends and families can join together to celebrate a new beginning.
With much love,

Ufton is an innovative charity that aims to change children’s lives through challenging and inspirational learning outside the classroom. From the exceptional house and grounds of Ufton Court in Berkshire, we aim to raise aspiration and attainment of all children and in particular those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Our work is supported by the profits we raise from hosting beautiful weddings in our Tithe Barn.
We believe that children are engaged through physical and mental activities which enable them to embed new skills. As well as providing our highly active and participative Ufton History and Ufton Environmental school trips, our Ufton Adventure programmes enrich the lives of disadvantaged and disabled children through outdoor learning in our woodland cabins and grounds, with repeated residential visits. None of our educational activities would be possible without the vital funds raised through holding beautiful Ufton Weddings during weekends and school holidays.
